SnakeSkin Treatment to Pistol

Do you guys like the snakeskin treatment done to the 1911 and other pistols?
How much would you pay to have this done to your 1911?
I am just curious about your opinions.

    I like it too,..on the ft strap and rear..looks good on the sides of the slide also...done right 150.00-200.00..[8D]..Loko

    Looks as good as checkering. Maybe better. I'd pay about the same as checkering.

    I really like it.

    My next 1911 will get it.

    I'd like it on the front strap, back strap, and on the slide, to replace the typical serrations.

    I'd pay $200+ for that.

    I have the Ultra Raptor II up for auction right know. 90987248

    The top of the slide has the scales to. Guess I should add a pic to the auction huh?[:)] Dependable and accurate little gun with a lot of bang

    Your right MVP its not, I would post pics but my camera and lighting situation will not permit a good enough pic. I would like to get the design show on this thread put on a Rock Island .38 super I just got[:p]

    As far as what? Price? Much cheaper[:D] Haven't had time to take it to the range yet. Have just been holding it, cleaning it, ect.

    ...I like it! It looks really good in person, better than the pics!

    ...I bought a new SS Commander late fall, to do a few "things" to...just now have all parts but the trigger rounded up.

    ...I was going to buy one of these Snakeskin flat MSH's from Ed Brown.

    ...But Chris (BlindHog)and I were going over the work I was going to do on my Commander...and SHA-ZAM GOMER!!...the next week a brand new Colt blued grooved flat MSH showed up in my mail...as if by magic ([:0]) Chris had taken it off a new Colt he was re-working for some guy...and just sent it to me or else I'd have bought the Brown Snakeskin MSH. Preferred the grooved Colt but none of the pistol smiths I use to buy take-off Colt parts had anything but the newer plastic ones YUCK!!...or the checkered steel ones...I prefer the falt grooved.

    .......A lot of pistolsmiths will machine the scales on the slide and backstrap for you now...but for the price, Ed B's is probably cheaper for buying an MSH already done unless your getting a quanity of work done on your gun.

    ...Chris does some fantastic work...sure am glad Im on the list for one of his builds...from the ground up...my ideas and choice of parts with his expert guidance/recommendations...I can't wait!!!! Pretty sure I want another 10mm...[:p][^]

    ...I'm 99% sure the scales will take the place of slide serrations too...but I like a plain frontstrap...and disslike an arched checkered MSH (unless it's a safe queen and came original from Colt).

    ...The McCormick Factory Racer I have is awesome, smooth, a Custom Shop Race Gun...but it has that damn arched checkered MSH on it...oh well...pretty much a safe queen, so I can stand the "grating" from the MSH once in awhile...[;)]
