PROBLEM SLEEPING?
anyone still up. i tried to go to bed at 10:00.couldn't sleep so i watched tv till i got tired of it noww i'm here

I'm here. Just got home from work not too long ago. Always takes me a few hours to get wound down enough to sleep.

i did go to bed at 10 and now im back till say 4 and ill try it again 0 -
it really sucks when you try to sleep and all you do is toss and turn. i just let the dog out and i see we have bad weather here also. i thought it was just rain till i seen the poor dog slide down the ramp from the deck nothing but ice 0 -
still up here, just finished some homework. probably be going to bed soon. funny thing is when we rescued snoopy(our beagle) from the pound it was my wife who says ohh hes so cute lets take him home with us, i wanted a big dog, because my gaurd dog had recently died. so i was looking at this big dog. decided to take both because they were going to put the big dog to sleep. lady says, we wont do anything with the big dog but we want you to take the small one home and see how he works out. which we did. he worked out wonderfully, however they big dog was given up for adoption to the lady's friend. any way to make a long story longer, this is supposed to be my wifes beagle. he never leaves my side when i am home. my wife goes to bed, come on snoops she says so he goes in there with her. about 3 minutes later out he comes and gets up on the couch with me. here he lies until i say come on boy lets go to bed then we both go and thats where he stays. my wife tries to get him to go out and pee in the morning and he lays there with me until i get up and let him out.(i work second shift so i sleep later then the wife.) funny thing, he's supposed to be her dog.... 0 -

wlfmn323 my german sheperd is the same way . my wife picked her out of the litter 8 years ago. for about the first two weeks the pup wouldn't leave the wifes side. from that point on i cant take a step without sunnie being under my feet 0 -

I did do one of those sleep studies, bunch of bull.
They came up with all kinds of things that keeps me awake, everything but the back pain.0 -
knock on wood i'm not having any pain. i just cant sleep.i cut a pickup load of firewood and maybe another half today i figured that would make me tired so i could sleep, but it worked the wrong way 0 -

my 5 dogs are the same way, if i went and stood in the rain they would be right there,

what breed are your dogs[?]0 -
Australian shepherds and a yorkie. that one was to be the wifes dog but it didnt happen,
i can go out back to reload some rounds and they all will come out and lay in the shed.0 -

sheperds is all the wife and i have ever had since we have been married. in fact the year before we got married at christmas time i asked the wife if she wanted a dog or a diamond. she chose the sheperd. every one of the dogs we had no two were ever close to being the same. we had a male and female, the male liked beer and the female would upset his beer in spite of hell every time i would give him some.it got so when i gave him beer i would have to move the female away from him. it was very funny to watch[:D] 0 -
mine r pretty good dogs,
i hate it when that hair starts dropping,
they have a dog door so they come and go as they please, there supposed to stay in just that one room but they sneak in after we go to bed,
each one is quite different then the other.0 -

I have troubles sleeping most nights. And if I do not take my sleeping meds it gets even worse. I am normally up 2 or 3 times each night. I get up and check the forum and lay back down.
The doctors have offered to raise the dose on my meds but being a single parent prevents me from allowing this as I would be too grogy in the mornings to get them ready for school and such.
I just deal with it and take a little nap durring the day if I need it.0 -

I do not have any problem sleeping or staying up. Normally, I go to bed around 2300ish and up by 0345 everyday. 0 -
...I go to sleep, and wake up every two hours the entire night. If I want to sleep 4 hours staight, I have to wait to go to bed at 0100 or later...then, I can sleep 4 whole hours w/o waking up...counter productive. For the last 10 years I average 3-5 of interrupted sleep a night, with pills, w/o pills, doesn't matter...[;)]
