cracked ruger 77 stocks

just bought a ruger 77 in 458 win mag. also just read article about cracked stocks in mag. calibers.. just curious if anyone has had aproblem with 77 stock using mag calibers?

  i think that came about in earlier days...i hav`nt heard of any problems with them cracking from normal wear for years.

  How old is your Ruger Cannon?

  i beleive gun was built in 1990's

  What year was that article written, was it in G&A, did it mention Ruger stocks on 458 rifles?
