Bobbed Hammer
Hello all!
I just bought a Taurus 85UL (85B2UL) yesterday. I am curious if anyone knows whether or not the bobbed hammer of the 85CHULT will "drop-in" the 85UL which currently has the normal spurred hammer. Secondly, does anyone know if Taurus sells their parts directly or if a dealer/smith is needed? The idea is to replace the spurred hammer with the bobbed version.

I didn't have an extra hammer lying around when I souped up my 85UL; I just Dremeled the hammer and left enough to touch with my thumb in case I need to go single action.
I would imagine that even if it were a little thick, or too long, that you could just Dremel down to where it will go.0
