shooting debree
I shoot a remington 11-87 using factory loads of 23/4- to 3 inch shells. Occasionally after a shot when the gun is cycling, I get little bits of debree flying out of the chambers into my eyes. Any ideas as to what could be causing this? J

Hmmmmmm, Could be that it just hasn't been cleaned in a while and all sorts of dirt and crap is flying out.
My 2nd guess would be that it has a weak spring that isn't handling your loads very well.
Without actualy inspecting your firearm in person i can't tell you any more.
My advice would be to thoroughly clean your gun and if the problem persists, take it to a gun smith.

Another possibility is the ammunition. The ball powder used in the first steel shot loads produced by Winchester burned pretty dirty. Shells kicked out of the semiauto I had at that time flipped around and threw unburned granules in my face.
In any case, ditto on the recommendations for shooting glasses.0
