What is wrong with this picture?
As the years have rolled by, the strict punishment for crimes has lessened, tempered with more "compassion (?)" given the criminals with lighter sentences, probation, etc.
And
As the years have rolled by, criminals are still criminals doing the same things & worst that they have always done.
Liberal judges and jurys have wrought this transition where everything is touted as 'acceptable'
the eye or an eye thing makes more sense or is that just me?

I believe the military discourage their snipers and target shoooters from smoking, because smoking works on your nerves and causes uncontrollable shakes which could throw off your round from hitting the desired location on the target. 0 -

Guess I missed out on the "Camel Smokes Jokes" as I never smoked- played serious varsity sports in HS- we called cigarettes back then "Lung Busters"- during Boot Camp at P.I. our D.I.'s might have given us a "smoke 'em if you got 'em" break, back when they were .30/pack but I passed. One of the many reasons the French lost at Bien Dien Phu in l954- they have a cigarette even stronger than a Camel-believe they were named Galouis- the VC could smell them from a great distance-same reason not to smoke if you're deer hunting. I wondered about the spotting scope also- I always use mine with the tripod on a solid rest or bench, even when shooting prone- also the glove- maybe with a 30-06, but recoil from a target wt. .22cal.? Wonder if the rifle is one of the great Win. m-52 series? 0 -
Gunny, as you will recall, gloves are necessary even with the .22, since the primary purpose of the glove is to stop the metal from chewing up the web of your hand when cinched up in a tight, stable position. 0 -

Thank you Kimi- you are 100% right-the padded glove does give the front support as it spreads your hand out into a greater contact with the lower forearm. Anyone know if this weapon is a Win. M-52 series? Love to own a 52-D or E series, also a copy of the book by a gent. name of Houze I believe. 0
