Trading coins for guns....
I am going to trade some coins for enough money to buy a Colt AR. Anyone here do stuff like that?
We are trying to save money this year and since I bought the coins for investment anyway, I figure the AR is a better investment that the coins.

Are your coins silver or gold? My customers can pay for stuff with gold or silver coins at 10 times face for silver and 20 times face for gold. As you can guess, I have about a ton of silver, but also a bit of gold, mostly five dollar gold pieces.[;)] 0 -

I have mostly silver but this particular trade I was going to sell a $20 gold Saint that has a book of about $1400. I do not think Gold will go much higher.0 -
I've got lots of old coins, including about $1.50 in pre-civil war stuff. Local shop owner and I have been discussing the possibility of shifting the decimal over 2 places in store credit on an exchange... just trying to decide on what I want next.
Also have a few half pennies from the netherlands in the early 1800s (1812, 1814), and quite a bit of European stuff from right after WWI (marks and francs from 1919 and 1920)0 -

It's a 1908 No Motto in MS64 borderline 65. It's close enought that I might try to upgrade - about $300 price difference in the 2 grades.0 -
