Favorite Cigar

How many here like to indulge in a nice cigar from time to time?

List some of your favorites.

My favorite one is an Opus X that I had in a sampler once. I have never found another one quite like it. It had a nice smooth start, followed by a creamy mid and finished with a very pepper taste. Very good. The closest I have had was a montecristo tubos originating from the cigars mother country.

My everyday cigar that I like is the Hoyo De Monterrey Dark Sumatra. Very nice smoke.

I hope I am not the only one here that enjoys a good cigar!

    No Jethro you are not the only one. There are several of us that enjoy a good stick from time to time. Look up the other threads if you like. My favorite is a free one but if I must buy one then any from Fuente will do, I like Iguanas as well. I have tried very few premium cigars that I didn't like. guess I am not all that picky [:D]

    Wow. Opus X in a sampler. Must have been some sampler. I can't afford those but I do like Hemingways, Short Stories and 858s. Favorites, Romeo and Julieta I'm smoking right now, Por Larranagas, some Macs, but probably most like El Rey Del Mundo Robusto and Robusto Largas. Lots of good ones out there, I favor those from the DR mostly.

    Nothing quite like a good cigar and a nice voka on the rocks with a couple anchovy stuffed olives............mmmmm.... Maybe tonight!!

    montecristo #4. i have found that i dont really have the attention span or the patience for a cigar that lasts much longer. churchills,lonsdales etc just take too long to smoke and it ceases to be enjoyable for me. i like to stay in the petit corona/corona size my self. 5"/42ring or there abouts is just about perfect.

    of all the cigars i have had that fit into that catagory, the montecristo #4 is by far the best.

    I gave them up when I found out the good ones were licked close with sugar water by a bunch of women. Don't know what she licked before she got to work or the night before.[:(][}:)]

    We have a great cigar shop that keeps opus X in stock. They limit them to two a day, but they are good. I bought one of their $50 samplers that had 10 cigars in it, including the opus X. One of the better samplers I have purchased!

    I tend to enjoy a more full flavored cigar, but a mild one is nice sometimes too.

    I do not like the flavored cigars though. I can't stand the sugary taste of most of them.

    I have tried more than one "good" cigar. Monte Christo is the only name that comes to mind.

    All things factored in, Swisher Sweet comes out on top IMHO.

    I know that is like saying to a wine snob that a white zin is your favorite wine.

    I live in Tampa and had the opportunity to meet one of the Fuente brothers at his place of business here. May not be a big deal but I thought it was pretty cool :-)

    I enjoy what ever cigar my Italian friends bring into the US for "personal consumption". Mostly Havana Punch I believe. My wife and kids don't complain about them either. Although it is hard to keep my 19 year old son away from them.
