What's the oldest car/truck you've ever ridden in?
When I was a teenager in school (graduated 1962) there was a friend and neighbor kid that had a Model A Ford (painted red)----similar to this one; but, nowhere near as good. Went many places with him in that old Ford. Think it was a 1930 model.

My uncle had a '37 Dodge truck back in the '60's. It still sits in the calf lot on my grandpa's old farm. You could look through the floor board and see the dirt road go by. When the Democrats assumed power in the '70's, they finally got their road paved. 0 -
A friend in High School had a 1940 Chevy truck (This was in '84-'85). It had a late model straight 6 and a 4.11 rear end. He still has it and wants to restore it. 0 -

Dad used to restore them. 1920's-1930's A's and T's. I was real young, 5 or 6 maybe. He put them in Parades. I was too young to appreciate!0 -
!940 GMC is the oldest one I remember. I owned it for a short while. It had a flatbed and at one time was a fire truck. Had a six cylinder engine, 308 cubic inch I think. Updraft carb, topped out at about 40 and would pull down a barn, literally. We did just that with it. 0 -
I owened a 1934/5 desoto airstream or airflo or something like that it had a straight 8 opera doors fast as heck ( this was in the 50s)course I was only about 13, I used to look between the top of the steering wheel and the dash to drive. 0 -

My dad pulled it out of a canyon and completely restored it when i was about 4 years old. It was his pride and joy. I can still remember riding around in parades with it[^]
Onfortunately, When i was about 8 things got a little tuff on the farm and dad had to sell it to make some extra money. He sold it for 10,000 back then, They are worth a whole lot more than that now.

1929 Model T, mild 327, Jag rear, and wire wheels. It was fast as hell, and rode like crap. Those wire wheels weighed a lot, and having that much unsprung weight on a car that weighed nothing wasn't a real great setup. 0 -
I think it was a 29 Ford. It was my little brother's truck when he was in high school. It used to rattle the whole house when he started it up in the garage. It was YELLOW and had the large hump-like fenders and hardwood bed...it looked like something ZZ Top would drive. 0 -

I own a 1930 Model A Ford coupe. Paint is similar to the one in the picture, but not in as good condition. It's a real hoot to drive, and boy does that a-ooga horn turn heads.0 -
In 1974, my high school girlfriend's father had a classic Ford Model T. On Saturday afternoons we would get dressed up in period clothes and drive around Alexandria Va. The car would break down and we would repair it and go home, fix it and drive around some more. 0 -

The oldest car or truck I ever rode in? Or the earliest manufactured I ever rode in?
In 1968 I rode in my great uncles 1929 model A Ford car. At the time it was 39 years old.
I own a 1956 Willys pickup that was my grandfathers. I went for a short drive in it last week. had to bring it home because of brake trouble. It is currently 52 years old. I guess that would make it the oldest thing I ever rode in.

That I have ever driven: 1914 T-bucket, I used to do side woke for a buddy who ran a vintage/hot rod car lot. Ever time there was a swap meet or auction he would have me drive one of the cars over there for him, the oldest was this t-bucket. That thing was running a supercharged 427 turning close to 600 HP, and the car only weighed 2000 lbs. The front rims were made for a dragster and the front tires came off of a motorcycle, the rears were Mickey Thompson street slicks. I got on that thing hard once from a stop and it instantly went into a wheel stand, scared the heck out of me.
That I have ever rode in: 1910 Hart-Parr tractor in a local parade when I was 7.
