Allright! Fess Up!
I went to the FT. Worth Cabelas to stock up on a few reloading supplies and such and Lo and Behold- No primers.
Cleaned out!
None. Nada. Haven't had some for quite a while.
I did get a few pounds of IMR4895, 250 VMax .223 bullets, and a nice Redding case trimmer.
Get it while ya can I always say.
The funny thing is, I originally went there to get my daughter a gift certificate for her birthday.
Which is today![:D]
Kelsey is 15 and I don't know where the time went.
I swear, she was only born last month.

The Sportsman's Warehouse closed last week and it was cleaned out of all powder, primers, and supplies.
Things are getting tight for regular shooters.
I don't have nearly enough ammo stockpiled and too many little gun mouths to feed.0 -

Is the primer shortage a self fulling prophesy?
Someone said there is a shortage, so EVERYONE goes out an buys up all they can get. Son of a gun, a shortage.
Same thing happened with shotgun primers a few years back. Couldn't find any for love nor money. After the fervor quieted down, everyone felt they had enough stockpiled, the manufacturers caught up with the demand, shelves were once again full of primers.
Have the manufacturers quit making them, or has the demand just gotten ahead of the supply, because of the scare?0 -
well with a war going on it does not suprise me of ammo and related reloading items being in shorter supply. On a side note there is a Sportsmans Warehouse just down the street from a brand new Cabelas here in WA-wonder how it is faring. 0 -

It's hard to find primers and powder in all of the gunshops I frequent. I think it's a distribution problem, rather than a shortage.
The popularity of reloading is increasing, IMHO, due to the price of factory ammo. Then, coupled with the war effort, and RUMORS, there is a lot of stockpiling happening. I am a bit guilty of stockpiling myself as well as others I see here.
Hey, it's a free market.
I think one should stockpile a few things, food, water, emergency supplies.
I'm just being a responsible citizen.
During economic problems, wars, public unrest, I don't want to be in panic mode. I just want to be prepared.
There will come a day when it will take a bag of gold to buy a loaf of bread. Probably in my lifetime. If not, so?0 -
I've been hoarding some because cost is going up so much. I have 6k rifle primers (large) and 3 k each of small and large pistol. It isn't enough! 0 -
there is a government facility here that makes small arms munitions. a friend of mine, who works there said that they are working 3 shifts and cant keep up with the demand.this same company has several plants across the US 0 -

The Sportsman's Warehouse in Lewisville, TX. closed Jan 31.
I hope they find a new location and reopen. I liked the store.0 -
