JUST fell into the proverbial bucket and coming
...out smelling GREAT!
I'm sitting here at my computer typing up an appraisal when the phone rings. On the line is the wife of a deceased friend asking me to come appraise their farm for estate purposes. I'd never met the lady formally, but, have seen her.
Trying to make conversation I told her Tom (her dead husband) almost got the nerve to ask her if she'd let me shoot groundhogs, deer, dove and geese on their 200 acre waterfront farm. But her never did.
Well, she told me that just last year she started shooting groundhogs as they were tearing up her horse pastures and crops...and, if I was serious to call first. She did infer that if I knew about guns she could stand some lessons as she is new to the sport. Yup, I think I can help this woman out. Now I'm damned sorry Tom died, but, glad the door is now open...WOW! 200 acres and I'm the only one allowed on it to shoot/hunt. It's about time luck turned my way.
