Ruger 77R twist

Hey, I am trying to figure out what the barrell twist rate is on my Ruger 77R heavy barrell. It seems that a lot of the relaoding specs I have been looking at are limited with the twist. It is an older model with the tang safety. Thanks.

  It's safe to say its between 1 in 7.5 and 1 in 22. You might use a tight patch on the cleaning rod and just measure the rate directly or give us a clue with the cartridge its chambered for.

  It may be different, although the 6mm almost failed (actually did) because it was set up with a 12" twist originally.
