Wild Weather Yesterday
Hope everyone came out unscathed from the weird weather we had across the country on Tuesday! Here in our section of East Texas the temperature dropped rapidly from about 73 to 47 degrees and we had very high winds and periods of rain mixed with small hail, nothing too bad. The winds were sufficiently high at one point that I walked out onto our front porch and watched a large limb from a pine tree on the property next to us snap and fall across our county road and on top of some power lines. It didn't break the lines, but they sagged causing a power outage for about an hour. The power company came out and cut the limb where it was laying across the power lines and they returned to their normal position, so he only had to reset the power. I helped him move the limbs off the road, but now I'm heading out with my chainsaw to finish the job!

Well, that didn't take long; the Pine tree limb, which was really big in diameter and length, has been cut up in sections and moved to the woods! I'll take any excuse I can find to use my chainsaw! [8D]
