Mea Culpa

This is a revisit of the topics about the Navy guy with all the ribbons everyone was speculating about. I will admit I joined in the pile-up, and I'm not proud of it. I have had an opportunity to visit by e-mail with the Master Chief, and apologize to him. Sounds like a nice guy, and I have enjoyed visiting with him. I told him he seems to be the Real Deal after all. Others in this forum who participated in that roast might also want to contact Larry and say hello.

My horror was compounded by the realization that he is a Special Boat Unit guy. And here I am an old-time Brown Water Navy fellow myself. I should have been backing him up as a shallow-water brother, not joining in the feeding frenzy. Well, I don't get a dose of humility every day so I might as well wallow in it when I can.
