Hand Made Christmas Gift...
A good friend of mine, who is also very good with his hands makes me a Christmas gifts every year. This year he knew I put a woodburner in the sun room so he made me this kindling box out of some scraps, and hand painted it. Not only that, but he filled it with dried oak kindling and made an axe out of one of the sticks. I just dont think you can beat a hand made Christmas gift. Thanks Nick.

Its nice to know there are some who still appreciate and understand the love involved in giving a homemade gift....
I used to give homemade jellies, jams, preserves and pickles UNTIL I was told it wasnt a good enough gift...It wasnt bought at a store etc...Seems gifts went from giving with love to "how expensive and what store"....
You have, for the most part, restored a bit of faith in human kind...

BR... you were doing the right thing by giving of yourself.. not of your $. Dont stop doing it! I know the feeling because I have dealt with it too. I simply quit giving those people ANYTHING and still keep makeing gifts from the heart to give to those who are true friends.0 -
