    OK, send them the bolt, they [Sears] issue you a $50 gift card. Are you then left with a boltless gun? Or do they return a new bolt to you?

    If no bolt is returned, I'd expect them to give me MSRP value for the entire gun in a gift card, as the gun is now useless. What's the gig? Joe

    There is no replacement bolt. For the longest time they were paying $160 but at some point decided to reduce the amount.

    Guys get a freaking chisel set and a board and a book on relief craving.. in a couple of weeks you can do that well, most likely better... Trust me... you don't even have to draw...patterns are everywhere!!!!

    the purpose of the rebate was to get a dangerous gun off the streets. there is no replacement.

    q: is the stock the same for a jc-583 12ga gun as the 20ga gun?

    Sears is no longer giving the $50 on the recall. What the recall was about is the bolt retaining screw would back out and when you went to jack in another round the bolt would pull completely out. One guy smacked himself in the face, sued Sears, thus the recall. Lock-tite or stake the screw, no problem.
