scope confused

I just purchased a sako 75 in 260 rem. I am so confused on what scope to use. I was looking at a zeiss 3.5 10 44 with the rapid z plex or maybe the 3.5 10 40 leupold with boone and crockett reticle. After reading several forums it seems as though everyone is using burris signature selects. So I got to looking at the burris scopes and ran across the laser range finder scopes. Can someone give me some advice as to which scope will be best. Iwill be using it for deer in southeast Alabama. Where I hunt is between 150 yds up to 400 yds. I do not currently have a range finder so the burris scope is interesting.HELP!!!!!

    For now, I'd say stay away from the range finding scopes ... too many things that could go wrong, esp. during a hunt of a life time. Get a separate range finder if you want. Any of the scopes you mentioned should be fine. It depends what is critical for you. I am a big Leupold fan and their eye relief is very forgiving. On average a scope's eye relief is 3.5". I topped my SAKO M995 in .300WM with a 4.5-14x40 Leupold B&C - it has 5" eye relief ... just my 2-pence for your thoughts. Good luck!

    I am way off the norm on scopes, I prefer fixed focus scopes at 4x and 6x. Lighter and more durable because they have fewer moving parts and you can use them as rifle sights. If you want to count the ticks on your deer before you shoot, you need someting else. If you want a variable, Then Burris Signature Select is my top choice under $1000. If you are not going to lap the rings, then buy all means get the Signature rings as well.
