*Update on dad ....new update
Folks, thanks for the prayers. they are working.
I learned earlier today thatthe results from my dad's tests are in. he's been diagnosed with diabetes and has been put on insulin. they found 2 more blockages and are using blood thinners to help with those. they decided to keep him one more night to let everything work, but they think it'll be good and he could go home tomorrow.
if the tinners don't help like they think, then the options are either stints or bypass. he's talking more clearly but still fights bouts of confusion. the was a small strain on his heart, but they say he's ok and doesn't need physical therapy.
if all goes well, he'll go home tomorrow. rest for 2 weeks and clearance to return to work. if he still has spells of confusion, then they'll talk about the stints and bypass options.
things are looking very good right now. thanks to all of you that offered prayers and best wishes. each of you helped in his speedy recovery. we're not completely out of the woods yet, but we sure can see the open fields...

i talked to him yesterday. he sounds much better. still a little confused and his short term memory was affected a bit. you have to tell him some things more than once for him to register it. but better none the less.
late last night i got a text from my sister. he's home.
the tests results came back and the thinners were helping sufficiently to counter the 2 blockages. the doc released him. now he can start to heal.

I'm still praying for him. How old is he? I can relate to a certain extent since I just had a massive heart attack in November. 5 stents and I gotta go back for open heart due to a detached artery. They won't let me shoot a long gun yet.0 -
