1911 Grips
Based on the reply that I got on my other thread, I thought that I would put it out there for the members to post pics of their different 1911 grips to hopefully inspire me. I promise that I won't copy anybody's design, just take inspiration. I am looking at getting ivory, so if you have ivory grips, even better.

Now,since I have the grips and no 1911(but that has been on my wish list for a while now.),I'm seriously looking.I'm not gonna(can't)go out and spend a thousand bucks on one.What I need to know is,what should I look for in the $500 range(or less) that's worth the money(or is there such a thing)? I'm not thinking "new" here,but maybe that would be the way to go if there's something in that price range that any of you have experience with and find to be reliable.Simply put,what brands should I stay AWAY from?All advice is appreciated.

If i put some of those black grips, with the ivory Punisher skull on my 1911, do you think it will look cheesy? I really like these grips, or these Ivory ones with the black punisher skull. 0 -
Just got my 1st 1911 (Taurus PT1911.) It's great in case you were wondering, and it was priced right.
Anyway, I'm looking for some new grips for it to spice up its appearance. I like the Springfield Armory Cocobolo grips, but any wood grips with a nice deep red brownish red would work. I'm looking for something reasonably priced and that looks good. Suggestions?0 -

I got some that have a cobra on them. Punisher should be cool too- go for it.

did you get them? I've been eying the shadow skull grips made by the same guy. I do like the fact that the Punisher grips come in a combat style with a textured polymer for better grip. 0 -
Hello I am with Marc1301. with this one. Just like a CAR "CHROME DON"T GET YOU HOME" I would rather spend the money on ammo and practice. I used to spend money on BLING but now on function and making the driver / shooter more skilled. Your mileage may vary. 0 -
Im ahsamed to say the .45 SAM 1911 i got a couple months ago is still sitting NIB, unfired. Im taking it to the range this weekend, i got so involved in ARs havent even looked at in a while. But shell get a work out this weekend, ill pick up some 185grainers and then some mor 230 and see what she likes. Al i did was get rid of the cheap plastic grips and put on a houge wraparound rubber grip. Feels much better and feels great in the hand. 0
