Ar 15's. Which one?

Tori said I should go ahead and order my AR. The price I get on Bushmasters are great so I'll stick with them. Also, the fugitive recovery thing is still a possibility so I want to stay with a 16".

These are the three I am looking at...

M4A3 Carbine
14.5" Bbl, with Izzy Suppressor
Retail - $1,265. My price - $621

16" Heavy Bbl without the M4 profile, with Birdcage suppressor

    i would`nt be able to choose, i`d have to buy `em all then decide[:)] in reality though, go for the one that suits your build and your shooting style...different horses for different coarses

    if youve had a chance to fire an oylmpic arms OA-93, its a blast, the fact is the rear stock detaches, its pretty accurate, loud a all hell

    I'm about to place an order for the Armalite equivalent of the second one on your list, that'd be my choice.

    on optics, spend a little extra and get an eotech. You can get a 511 for $300 or less. One fight or drop and that burris is toast, and you are stuck with no sights when SHTF. Eotechs take a hell of a beating, and they can easily be set up as cowitness on an AR15.

    BTW, how you getting such a big discount, you know someone who works there?

    H0LY stuff CUBS!!!.... I can buy Ar's at perty close to dealers cost, But never got a price like that[:0][:0][:0]

    I agree with your choice of Bushmaster, I would go with a 16 inch barrel though. You loose alot of velocity and muzzle energy with the shorter barrels, and the Military have had more problems with the M-4. Seems the get carbon and fouling build up much quicker due to the fact that the short barrels dont allow the heat to burn up alot of the crud. Good Luck!!

    Did you mean the 20" barrels? or to choose a 16 over the 14.5"?

    Not really. I get 6 pro-forms a year. Optics, binoculars, guns, safes, bows, arrows, etc.

    I would go with the second or third choice. The $9 difference would be for how much you like/dislike the step down on the bbl. I would stay away from the 14.5 and pinned FH just in case you ever want to change anything this can make it really hard.

    I prefer to have a solid A2 handle on my AR's. The exception to that rule is if I want to put an optic on it then I prefer a full flat top (no standard front site). That is just me thought and I know may people run different set ups.
