Car Drifting
I'm sitting here watching a drifting race on ESPN right now. I think these guys might have better skills then NASCAR drivers, they're awesome!

It is fun to watch these guys go around the course, but the way they do things baffles me. Such as the whole premise of spinning the tires, I don't have a problem with that but it is how they go about making the power to do so. The easyest way to spin a set of tires is to use a ton of tourque, so these guys use whay? A big block chevy? A supercharged small block? No, they use a 2.0L turbo that they have to spin at 8,000 RPM to make power. Another thing that bugs me is the whole thing about passing the other car to make more points, it would be real easy to pass another car who is spinning his tires if you let your car hook up for a quick second, go past, then get back into the drift. There is nothing in the rules about this, but it would hurt your style points. 0 -
Indeed, gentlemen. The first time I saw this "sport" called "drifting" I said, That's just driving. It was invented by the fathers of Nascar and brought to the dirt track. They quit doing it for the reasons given by Mk19 0 -
Only thing i watch on Youtube is basically drifting. GET SIDEWAYS!
