There is a Ford Mustang Car club that was going to use pictures of members cars and make a 2008 Calender for Club Members......Ford stepped in and said no......Ford own's pictures of their vehicles...you can't make a calender with pictures of your own vehicle:

  That's a bunch of B.S., they can't do that! If i want to make a calender of a Ford, or Chevy, or whatever, they can't stop you, it's your car!

  This is a perfect example of why the American Auto makers have been posting quarterly losses in the BILLIONS for the last few years.
  
  I hope the doors get closed on at least one of them (GM or Ford) and I don't really care which one. They are miss managed, lower quality, and clearly out of touch with thier customer base to a point that may be beyond repair.

  It's the law, you can't use images of their product for profit without their premission. If the cars are customized or custom painted, or just shown as part of another central point of interest, the rules change. It's part of the copywrite laws.

  If Ford wants to spend millions fighting thousands of people that want to sell calenders, then Ford will no longer be in the car building business, they will be in the lawsuit business.
