what is the purpose...

of a 1 day auction? I have been following an auction for a shotgun for about a little over a week,the seller only posts it for a 1 day auction. when it does not sell, it gets relisted for another 1 day. I am hoping he drops the price if it continues not to sell, but would it not be easier to do atleast a 5 day auction?

    Either quick money or listing it due to a request would be my thought.

    Of course, it relists automatically every day for free.
    And the benefit is that the auction stays at the top of the page continuously, rather than starting every week on page four!

    Or the item is in a shop waiting for either a bid or a walk-in customer

    I think after a couple listings G B should charge the seller something.

    Some guns (priced way high) have been relisted for much too long a time.

    the seller knows it's unlikly it will sell but hopes to get lucky.
