Body kit?

When a graveyard shifter doesn't have to work he finds himself with a lot of extra time to search the internet. Here is one of my findings:

    Cat, being a thirdshifter myself, i know what you mean. That body kit looks good, it doesnt scream rice. That one is smooth and clean. I hate the ones that are wildly huge.

    The Taurus my mom used to have came from the factory looking about like that but without the white stripes down the center.

    Hers also came with a SHO V-8 from the factory.

    When I first say the title I though "oh, this is going to be ugly"

    But that is well done and tastefull, it makes the car look like an SVO and it would go nicely with the suspension mods your planing

    Oh yeah, keep it in white.

    The Taurus isn't a turd. The platform and engines, including the 3.0L OHV, have a lot of untapped potential. You just have to know what you're doing.

    BTW, the 3rd gen SHOs have the most fragile engine of all Tauri. They are very susceptible to cam shaft failures and coil failures. The cam sprockets are pressed on and they have a very strong tendency to spin causing catastrophic engine damage, it is in the interest of a 3.4L SHO owner to get the sprockets welded to the cam shafts as soon as possible. The coil failures are due to the lack of air flow between the 1-4 bank and the firewall which causes them to over heat. Before you all go off about how it's a Ford, let me remind you that all three SHO engines were built by Yamaha.

    Keep the stripes. Stripes are cool. I'm not a Ford guy, but the best car I ever owned was a '93 Mercury Sable w/ 3.0. That thing would fly and rode good to boot.

    If they were painted alike, nine out of ten people wouldn't be able to tell them apart if they were parked side by side.

    Just get a push-bumper and a spot light and call it a day.

    (OK, maybe a shotgun rack too.)
