never been that stuck. i run a 450 JD loader in the 1985 flood clean up and the inspectortold me to go out on a silt dam and cleanup. never happened.took a 792 JD and another large dozer to pull that little loader out. cant imagine what it will take to get that 690 out 0 -

D6 dozer is still stuck.... but he was closer to the other bank.. broke through on both.. he got stuck, dad pushed him out, shoving him put dad through..
Those pics are AFTER it was unstuck, it was deeper than that0 -

got it out on his own, just had to climb a cliff, another hoe sat up on a cliff and hooked buckets.. climbed up on the logs and climbed the cliff.. that was worse than getting stuck [:D][:D]0 -

well throw away experience fellas, boss knows everything, told him 5" of frost wouldn't hold that hoe, would he listen ? heck no, he went to college. young wippersnapper. started on the other side and dug to solid and was doing fine, moving right along,next he says its frozen now , go to other side and throw to dozer and push across to make time, he was serious, sure am glad i didn't go to college. made it to a log jam and climed up it, he say's how we gonna get it out, i pointed to a cliff and said get another hoe and i'm going up right there, we hooked buckets and i climed the cliff. i ask him if he learned anything, he said he'd start listening[;)][:D] 0 -

Stuck Yep. 82-30 Dozer Marine Corps Found a sink hole and just dropped. Took 2 tank retrievers to get it back out.
Even stuck a whole Convoy out at 29 palms, about 20 trucks. Same Situation as yours young officer. Wanted to save time and cut across a dry lake bed. Well it had only been dry about 2 days. Only had a couple inches of dry crust.0 -

dad, boss, and laborers dug it all out, motor compartment and all i do believe.
I recall him saying they had to change the oil, re grease, power wash it all off, clean it all out, every little detail had to be fixed0 -
my moms side of the family had a fleet of shrimp boats, when the wore out, they would bring them up to the homestead, use a dozer to pull it up on dry land, strip it of everything then burn it, back in the early 70's, they went to pull one out, got the dozer to close to the river, it started going down, they had three dozer chained to the one to get it out. my granddad was the same, he was always right. even if it cost him money to prove it. 0 -

The best I've done is sank a dump truck.
Was backing up while someone was waving me back and back and back ... put the bucket up, and the entire back end just sank, the front end was way off the ground. I had to sit in the cab until they hooked up two tractors to pull me out.
Was trying to build up a low area of the golf course that always flooded.0 -
Wow! Now that is stuck. I will have to show my old man this, he will appreciate it.[:D] He is a crane operator and he has told me some good stories about getting stuck "real good".

I put a Cat 350 excavator down back in the spring but not that bad.
Maybe someone should inform that pinhead FOREMAN what draglines are for[;)]
P.S. Tomahawk looked good using his track spade to get the mud out of his cab0 -
