It went ok.
I found out there are alot of areas that we do not see eye to eye on (not to say we were complete oppisites either).
She had brought her son over with her (I offered to have her son come along as he is the same age as my boy and my kids were here too and figured they could play video games and such). Well that was fine except she does not really like her son playing some of the types of games that my son enjoys (ie: Call of Duty 3, Grand Theft Auto, ect.).
She also is not really a gun person. She is not really anti-gun but she does not really let her son have any exposeure to them except for the little nerf guns, and she was kind of shocked to know that both of my kids allready have thier own real guns and my son regularly plays with airsoft guns.
I am still not sure if we will be going out again but I know we will remain friends and such. I will be talking to her probly later today when she gets off of work.0 -

Just sounds like she needs a little coaching in the gun area. Since she doesn't really care one way or the other , a little education and some range time with a .22, sounds like she could be pulled in our direction. Could be fun for you two and the whole family. 0 -

I agree. And that may be something for a future outing. She did talk about some of her family members that hunt and such so she does seem to have had some exposure to them.0 -

If she's not a gun person. I wouldn't push the issue. I would invite her out one day for a shooting day. Show her how responible you and your kids are with guns.
I'll be that's stuff's not that important to her, right now, as to what kind of person your like. If you tried (not that you did) push your ideas on her. You maybe too controling and she may not what that. Girls want a man to be in charge, but he must let her think she is. He has to be there to bale her out if she makes a bad decision thought.
Alot of guys try to come off as someone who respects a girl for her mind and not her body. Thats okay, but she also needs you think she's smoking hot.
I know it's was a first date, but she's already thought about it being more. At least at first.
Just show her your a fun guy, who has a good sense of humor(very important to a girl). Just talk to her alot and be fun. Take to her a movie and no not Red Dawn (what is it with you guys and this movie?)
Show her how much you love your kids and that you be a good provider and protector.
I love the idea tha your raising your daughter as if she was you own. That's very sexy.
And above all things, let it go if it isn't going to work. Guys that can't take no are the worst.0 -

bingo{except for the sexy comment}, and i'll add be yourself in every way you can, nothing worse than someone pretending to be something their not, because your true self will always come out later anyway{not that you did this}, i would rather be disliked for who i am than liked for who i am not
i never ever brought up firearms on a date until i knew exactly where they stood, most women are flexible on it, but not as much with first impressions due to the common stereotyping of gun owners it can really scare them if they do not know you, at least until they get to know you better0 -

Keep in mind that women are more prone to change their mind then men.
We know what we like or dislike, they go on emotions, so if you work the protection of her and her son into the conversations about guns you may have a winner.
When I first met my wife, some 12 years ago, she told me flat out, "I will not live in a house with guns!", to which I responded, "I will not live in a house without guns!".
I guess you should be able to tell who won out on that one. [;)]
