wood for forend tips and grip caps

Was wondering if anyone had any good places to get wood for forend tips and grip caps. Would like to find someone where with a little bit of a selection. Any info would be great.

  U might try calling around to some of your local "mom n pop" cabinet shops, or even saw-mills or lumber yards.

  In the process of building a fully custom varmit gun so i am looking to put some nice wood on it. I bought a 75% special selection stock from Wenig Custom gun stocks and i am going to set a Borden Timberline action in it so i want the rest to look good also.

  There are many places out there with nice woods, but I'd first check
  out stabilized woods, and the best in that biz is WSSI. You can

  If I were doing such a custom, i would seriously consider sending
  the stock you have to them to have stabilized as well.
  
  Some people don't like the feel of stabilized wood, but i've used it
  on custom knives, and personally have no problem with it.
  
  And you can guarantee that it'll be around as long as the gun will be.[:)]

  I think that Brownells is still selling wood for endcaps. Check them out. I purchased some Ebony awhile back. www.brownells.com
