ProStaff Magazine Question
I'm not sure if this question has been posted before, but I'll ask it anyway. For all I know someone like SuburbanNoise has asked this question a year ago.
Sometime back I bought a Prostaff plastic magazine for an AK.
Specifically, mine is a MAK .223, but don't think that is relevant. Kind of like Autozone asking if it's 2wd pr 4wd when all you want is a water pump.
Right away I noticed the magazine fits a lot tighter than the Norinco steel. However. The bullets don't load very well in the chamber. THey jam and shove the bullet into the casing. The bullet. just miss the barrel. Too low.
If I pull the bottom of the magazine forward and pitch the tp of the bullet up, it will load one.
SHould I file down the front clip of the magazine that it hooks to the reciever and give it more room to play? This would give it a looser fit, like the Norinco magazine.
Or should I file the follower(?) Not sure if I am using the correct terminology, but the curved top of the magazine that holds the bullets in place. I'm thinking this would raise the bullet a bit and allow it to load higher into the barrel.
What do you think.
