I needed a carry gun

Kansas just got their CHL through this past year. I have a pile of
6-6 1/2" N and K frames, but didn't have anything I could carry. I found a 64-2 S&W, then a week later lucked into an old nice 2" Military and Police. But they were still a little large to carry, so I was looking for a J frame snub and last week in Kansas City I found a pretty nice flatlatch Chief's special. I'm going to have to quit this, as I now have one for nearly every pocket. Hi, I'm wundudnee and I have a problem.[:0]

    If you truely feel that you have too many, I'll make room at my house for one or two but I will require child support so I can feed them[:D]

    If you're looking for one you will actually carry every day, you're on the right track with the J frames. My favorite Smith & Wessons are the I, J, K and N frames with maybe an L frame or two, but I think we share that opinion. [:D]

    My carry gun is a S&W 60-9 with bobbed hammer and factory trigger job. I carry the same gun the same way every day.

    With your frame, a Winchester 1300 would conceal nicely.

    Hey, don't limit yourself to snubbies. A 4" bbl .357 might be the ticket.

    don't know why but i still haven't got around to getting my CCw..guess i still cannot believe Kansas really would let its citizens defend themselves while Gov K is out modeling designer dresses...but did pick up a new charter arms undercoverette in 32 h&r mag cheap..small & fits just right

    Love the choice of the classic Snubbie, but if you were going for a new carry piece, why not an alloy frame?

    There have been a few metallurgical advances in the last 40 years, you know! [:p]

    Seriously, its a pretty noticeable difference in weight and you don't give up anything in terms of power, since the new Airweights can shoot a steady diet of .38+P.

    I agree. I carry an airweight as a pocket gun. The steel snubbys are so heavy and uncomfortable to carry this way that I'd rather carry my Kimber Compact in an IWB holster.
