HK. Because you suck. And we hate you.

An open letter to the gun community from HK's marketing department: In a world of compromises, some people put the bullets in the magazine backwards.
But it doesn't matter, because our gun is on the cover of the Rainbow Six video games. Look how cool that SEAL coming out of the water looks. If you buy a $2,000 SOCOM, you will be that cool of an operator too. And chicks will dig you.
At HK, we stuck a piston on an AR15, just like a bunch of other companies have done, dating back to about 1969. However ours is better, because we refuse to sell it to civilians. Because you suck, and we hate you.
Our XM8 is the greatest rifle ever developed. It may melt, and it doesn't fit any accessories known to man, but that is your fault. If you were a real operator, you would love it. Once again, look at Rainbow Six, that G36 sure is cool isn't it? Yeah, you know you want one.
And by the way, check out our new HK45. We decided that humans don't need to release the magazine with their thumbs. If you were a really manly teutonic operator, you would be able to reach the controls. Plus we've fired 100,000,000 rounds through one with zero malfunctions, and that was while it was buried in a lake of molten lava, on the moon. If you don't believe us, it is because you aren't a real operator.
By the way, our cheap, mass-produced, stamped sheet metal guns like the G3 and MP5 are the bestest things ever, and totally worth asinine scalpers prices, but note that cheap, mass-produced, stamped sheet metal guns from other countries are commie garbage. Not that it matters, because you're civilians, so we won't sell them to you anyway. Because you suck, and we hate you, but we know you'll be back. We can beat you down like a trailer park wife, but you'll come back, you always do.
Buy our stuff.

I agree, to hell with H&K.. I own a usp 40 and it is more than reliable, but knowing now what I know I wont purchase another HK or Colt.
What are some of the other manufacturers that do not sell to the civilian market? And how in a free society is a company able to throw its middle finger in the air to "civilians"??? How are they able to profit? Of course those are rhetorical questions, because its obvious big government. So when you people go out and vote for the same ol' same ol' like clinton and huckabee for example, I would not doubt one bit that they are drinkin buddies so to speak I also would not doubt one bit they are one in the same person bought out by the same people... And if you doubt it look at huckabees "questionable contributions" the guy is a blatant sellout.
To hell with all these politicians and companys that do not understand Americas' pride is her people and not her government.0 -

Well, I admire you spirit in this, but there are also some considerations.
First of all, of course, HK is not an American company, it is European and is rife with the modern European spirit that despises the individual.
As for Colt, yeah, they make ok stuff, but it's WAY overpriced. They have huge, fat contracts with the military, so they don't have to worry about competing in the marketplace.
(Of course, I'm not telling you anything you didn't already know here.)
One other consideration to think of are the import/export laws. Not all foreign countries disdain our civilian market. While HK and their ilk may be of the opinion that their feces don't stink, you can't tell me that Russia or even China would L.O.V.E. to sell us every single weapon we would buy, and then send some more. Heck, BOSNIA has HUGE caches of gear, a lot of which they would LOVE to sell on the American market for hard currency. The law won't allow it, though.0 -
I like the mag release on the HK better than the "other" style. It is better (faster) "for me" to reload. Walther P-99s also use this mag release. 0 -
H&K is clearly at the top of the ladder in all respects. 0 -
I bought a used H&K USP 45 and it did not come with an instruction manual. I called H&K and they told me that they would not send me one because when the pistol left the factory, it came with a manual. If I wanted to buy one from them, they would sell me one for $15. Yeah, thats great customer service for you! 0
