LAS VEGAS (Jan. 26) - Miss Michigan Kirsten Haglund, a 19-year-old aspiring Broadway star, was crowned Miss America 2008 on Saturday in a live show billed as the unveiling of the 87-year-old pageant's new, hipper look.

Two points, no pun intended. First, she's supposed to be from Michigan but attending the University of Cincinnati. No one around Cincinnati has ever seen her. Second, her GRANDMOTHER was supposed to have won the Miss Michigan title several years ago. Have we seen a picture of her and grandma together? That may be the real answer. Grandma just had a little plastic work and is back at it pretending to be her own grand daughter! 0 -

You have to remember that a "hot date" to a most of these whiners involves "Miss Michigan" (and if they are lucky her twin sister joins in), and considering that some of them can't even get a date with her.........
IOW they couldn't get lucky at the "Chicken Ranch" with a pocket full of $100 bills.0
