Lots of 'ten inning, midnight baseball' in my old '56 Chevy - but I usually only used to get to 2nd base most of the time!
At the raunchy Ace Drive In, my buddies and I used to pack the trunk (Chevy's used to have BIG trunks) with gals and smuggle them in!
... that couldn't have been forty five years ago ... could it?

'51 Chevy Supreme, also. Fire engine red, gold interior, 3 on the tree, 235 pick-up engine. Had a genuine coleman cooler to keep "refreshments" cold. Gas was a quarter, made 1.15 an hour.

there was one around here back when my brother was still alive. i was only -maybe 6 or 7?!?! we went all the time and my favorite thing to do when we went was go to the concession stand with my dad so i could play Ms. Pacman!

The ULTIMATE nostalgia, of course, is recalling that you could buy guns in department stores (Ted Williams, etc.), auto parts stores (I have a Grand Auto shotgun), etc. And the pre-68 mail order was unbelievable. And ammo at nearly every gas station or hardware store. I miss THAT for sure. 0
