Armed robber dies after beating from victim.
But of course the victim is jailed and they are thinking of charging him with murder.

A 31-year-old Cleveland man died after apparently being beaten by a person he tried to rob, police say.
Kenneth Grove of Bundy Street died at University Hospitals at 7:24 a.m. Monday.
The Cuyahoga County coroner's office was expected to complete an autopsy late Monday. But initial reports said Grove died of head injuries.
Cleveland police said they were called to a house on Parkhill Drive to investigate an armed robbery. When officers arrived, they found a man restraining Grove in the driveway of the home.
Police separated the men and recovered a gun.
Grove was taken to a hospital. Detectives held a 45-year-old Cleveland man for questioning. He was kept in police custody Monday night on an unrelated traffic case but had not been charged in Grove's death.
Lt. Thomas Stacho, a police spokesman, said a review of the dispatch system showed that several calls were placed to 9-1-1 reporting the robbery.
The calls indicated that the 45-year-old in custody was the robbery victim.
Grove matched the description of the robber, police said.
Stacho said that if the case is ruled a homicide, it would be the 134th such crime in the city this year.
On the forums of cleveland.com they are all going on about how the poor victim died.

Of course it is the robbery victims fault. I mean come on guys...these criminals are in a very dangerous line of work and then a victim has the gall to actual resist and try to prevent the poor criminal from carrying out his line of work.

geez!!, i swear, i often think that the U.S. has some of the greatest laws anywhere on the planet, and then there are times i shake my head and wonder what went wrong there!! surely if the dead guy resisted a citizens arrest and was restrained and got hurt then it serves him right!a normal person could be forgiven for thinking that the person doing the restraining should get a pat on the back!!it will be a terrible thing if the true "victim" is charged with anything ! there were calls to 911...the dead person tried to rob this guy...surely they wont charge him for defending himself and getting rid of the "garbage" from the streets? 0 -
Dont bet on it dan. There have been several citizens arrested, tried and convicted for murder or assault when the stopped a criminal from robbing them.
Many people think it is best that we the people just let these scumbags take what we worked our butts off for. The rational is if you dont resist, they wont hurt you.
I even had one "professional" tell my wife that if she was ever grabbed and the guy intended to rape her that she should never fight back...he would probably just rape her and not hurt her if she submitted. WTH??? Told her to fight as hard as she could and kill the guy if possible.0 -
medico7..i could`nt agree more!! my wife is south african, that is one of the most dangerous countries on earth...they have 57 murders a day there, and apparently there is a rape reported every 12 minutes !!!the cops there tell women to fight back..yell, kick, scream,bite, anything that they can to defend themselves because the statistics say if you submit, you are dead!!!my wife carried a 38 special when she lived there and a 950 000 volt stungun, and when ever i`m there for a holiday i carry a gun too..its not legal, but if i have to use it, i wont be standing around to see if i would be charged!!..i hope common sense will prevail for this man, and if he does front a jury i hope they find him not guilty..if what is written in the report is true, surely it is self defence, even if the would be robber ended up dead, it serves him right for being the aggressor to start with !! 0 -
Liberals truly believe that ALL violence is bad. IOW, if someone starts beating you, and you fight back now, to the horror of the liberals, there are now TWO people getting beaten. Or at least two people "fighting." And that is more than a liberal can bear. They would prefer that only one person actually dispense any violence. Part of their reasoning for only one person being violent is that they know they cannot stop that from happening. And further, they feel that if the victim merely submits to the beating, rather than fight back, then the victim will not be hurt much because there are no "really and truly" evil criminals out there.
Same goes for armed robbery, rape, etc. If only one person (the attacker) dispenses violence, the net result will be a total of less violence in that crime. And less crime overall in society.
