Magna-porting vs Muzzle tamer
I am thinking of purchasing a Encore 300 win Mag and wanted to reduce the recoil of the gun. Anyone have experience with either of these techniques? Which reduces more?

...Magn-Port works well. Just be aware that ANY porting (ported brake, magna-port) will increase the muzzle noise a LOT! No biggie to me. IF your shooting at dusk and a quick follow up shot is needed, you may loose time because more of the flash is directed "up" into your line of sight with most porting.
...Try a Decelarator pad, and an in the stock recoil reducer if recoil is a problem to you...[;)]

I have a Ruger M77 338 Win. that I bought in 1984. I soon had it Magna-ported and have never regretted it. I have no experience with any other recoil reducer. 0 -
Get a LIMBSAVER recoil pad. It takes out at least half of the felt recoil. They work! 0 -
Like I mentioned before the Mag-Na-Port will not make near the noise the MuzzleTamer will.
The magnaport will bark louder than one not ported, but not as much..
I shoot 375JDJ Contenders with one of each....0 -
