bought a new rifle today

Here is a link to a page talking about the exact model. It is The Remington Model 700 Stainless Special 5R Milspec. I can't wait to mount a scope on it and go play![:p][:)] I have to pay it off though.[V] My dealer was nice enough to take it off his shelf for no money down, just a promise of a $100.00 deposit when I get the money.     I should have it paid for by March or earlier. Already picked out the scope, mounts, bipod, etc. I'm gonna start with lake city match ammo and custom load based on it's performance from there. I don't know if I can shoot as good as the rifle right now, but I will try to get as good as I can. The longest range in my area is 600 meters, so I won't be able to try 1000 until I make my yearly hunting trip to Missouri. Thanks for the kind words folks.[:)]

    bhale187, I am going to put a supersniper 10x42 on it from SWFA. A friend has one on his AR30 and I really liked it. He has had it on there for a year now and never has had to make any adjustments to zero. He is rough with his equiptment too.

    Tobys, If you are wishing you got the side focus, then that's what I will do. I was pondering whether or not to spend the extra money for the side focus. Thanks for the insight. Great website you have by the way.

    If you plan on shooting at various distances in the same session, it would definately be worth side focus. It would also be easier to adjust while looking through the scope.
