Has there ever been a more scary

MVP
election?
I have been voting since Ronald Reagan was elected so I do not remember the 60s presidential races.
I remember the 70s elections but did not participate as a voter.
Have elections been this scary...ever?
I remmber in the 70s it was just the running joke about Billy Beer and peanut farmers being the first family but those are pale in comparison to todays presidential race.

    I would vote to re-elect GW before I would vote for the front runners in the current race.
    In fact I would vote for Jimmy Carter before I would vote for any of these in todays race.

    Speaking for myself, no, there has not been a more scary election than the pending 2008 one. I have no doubt, too, that not even the election that put Lincoln in office was as scary as the one we face today. In Lincoln's day, and in all other elections, to my knowledge, the general belief among the masses did not include the Selling of American Sovereignty. Our representatvies are caught up with the tearing down of the America we love so much. In other words, today, our D&R elected representatives are viewed as enemies of the state like never before to a great many Americans. Just my honest opinion.

    Dunno but it scares even me, older folk wont have SS, stuff like that possibly, Ill be turning 18 in three years 8 months. -gulp-, i wont have SQUAT, or, thats what its looking like

    Well for those of us who voted for George, including myself,
    he sold a good game, and he lied. He didn't represent smaller
    government, less taxes, and he didn't follow his oath of office
    and uphold the constitution. He just about shredded civil
    rights in many areas, and entreached us on the path of a new
    world order. Clinton was just as bad, one thing I remember most
    was the World Heritage Sites, and having our National Parks
    basically no longer the American peoples. Selling technology
    to the Chinese. I'm sure others can remember more.
    I'm still voting for the only guy who upholds the constitution,
    and protects our individual rights and liberties. Ron Paul

    [:)] Jake, don't let us old boys get you down. You'll do just fine. Knowing what the problems are in America today is that you have half the battle whipped. Adjust your positive energies to making the system work for you. It heartens me to know young folks like you will be there for you children and grandchildren. Again, you'll do very well in life, of this I'm feel sure, barring any earth shattering events that is, but everyone has to deal with that.
