RAW pic question

I took some pics today with the school's Nikon D70s camera. I shot them in RAW format and my computer won't open the pics. Do I have to have a certain program to open them? When I try to open it says the format isn't supported.

  I can't realy answer your question, I have a D80, but have never had any troubles like that.

  I've been pretty good, busy with school and all that that goes with it. Kinda frustrated with this picture thing...

  Did you get a cd with your camera? It has a viewer for RAW files.
  
  If not try this site for a viewer...

  I use "Adobe Photoshop" to open and edit RAW files taken with my D-70s.
