KOKOMO, Ind. - Police say a man accidentally shot himself in the groin as he was robbing a convenience store. A clerk told police a man carrying a semiautomatic handgun entered the Village Pantry Tuesday morning demanding cash and a pack of cigarettes.
The clerk put the cash in a bag and as she turned to get the cigarettes, she heard the gun discharge.
Police say surveillance video shows the man shooting himself as he placed the gun in the waistband of his pants. The clerk wasn't injured.
A short time later, police found Derrick Kosch, 25, at a home with a gunshot wound to his right testicle and lower left leg. He was expected to have surgery at a hospital.
Police plan to charge him with armed robbery.

I saw the result of a guy doing this once, took most all of it right out the bottom. A pic of this would've made a good gun safety poster.
BTW-When I examined his POS Lorcin .380 I found that it would dischrge when you manipulated the safety.0 -

The downside is that at the end of the year this will be another hash mark for the anti-gunners. It'll be reflected in the self inflicted gunshot wound column where the soccer moms assume they're all sad stories.
Same with the other post here about the female homeowner walking in on a burglar and shooting him to death. Their tally will reflect this simply as another gun homicide.0 -
Whats worse Txs, many of the "stats" on children killed by firearms include 18 and 18 year olds. Last I heard they were adults and could vote and serve in the military. Dumbazz political agendas. 0 -
The guy got what he deserved. The taxpayers will patch him up, and he'll be back to armed robbeery in no time. Only an octave higher.
I can't help but think about the clerk. If my back was turned during a robbery, and I heard the bad guy's gun go off, I'd need a change of shorts. Big time.0 -

Many count up through age 20 as children in their stats, based upon the idea they aren't legally adults until 21.0 -

I hesitate to mention this because here lately every time I say something, somebody wants a "reference" and I don't feel like looking it up, but I read a while back that some of the stat accumulators count people through the age of 25 as children. I don't remember what their justification was, but it sure gives the number of children shot a bump in the numbers.0 -

he will receive a minimal sentence due to a hardship medical condition whereas about one month in he will find god behind the toilet & get an earlier release from the liberal review board after promising to never again use a evil black assault pistol as a vasectomy tool, be contacted by an aclu lawyer & commence to file a $10 mil suit against the store for allowing weapons in a public place resulting in severe bodily harm, allowing a customer to practice medicine without a license combined with selling a controlled substance known to be a health hazard & carcinogen....whereupon winning all this money he will contact a hollywood follower of scientology who will attempt to revive the old surgical skills of Dr.(goat gland) Brinkley who got rich here in cuckooland (kansas) in the 1930's doing these replacement operations to restore failing older males to wedding night vigor................we await news of the results 0 -
why does the fact that the type of gun used in the crime always have to be mentioned? what difference does it make if it is a semiauto? 0
