Snow..and Tyranny.
Tyranny doesn't happen overnight. It is a product of years of encroachments, rules, regulations..all designed to limit the power of an individual.
Here in Oklahoma, the good gray governor declared a burn ban last week.arguably the thing to do.people persisting to burn in spite of 40 mile an hour winds and tinder dry conditions.
Fine.
Today.and yesterday..I look out over 8 inches of snow. That snow extends over the North half of Oklahoma..and there is no wind to speak of. So I call the local fire department to tell them I am going to burn some brush in the back yard from the ice storm last month.piles that dot my entire yard.
"No Sir..that will be a 500 dollar fine, if you do so"..But..but..but..I am STANDING IN 8 INCHES OF SNOW !!!!.
Sorry Sir.until the governor lifts the ban..ect.
I hung up.
Called the Governors office. All they could suggest doing is to leave a message on their suggestion line.
Do you understand how a Hitler can take power..?
Do you understand how, when the order is given, they WILL come take your guns ?
Common SENSE has NO PLACE in Government..just orders.and killing you if you resist STUPIDITY.

There, folks, is as a perfect example of just WHY we live in tyranny today in America as I could ever think of.
Oh...it doesn't extend to comming to my door and shooting me for talking about it...but then, in the early days of Hitler, THAT didn't happen either.
No..what leads to total tyranny is the people SUPPORTING it..making excuses for insanity.

I imagine that is EXACTLY the point that the governor is concerned about. "Tens of thousands of people" would be tens of thousands of opportunities for disaster.

Over the years, I have learned that there are those that see no wrong in the government...and those that do.
There are those with their beliefs and ideology in tune with the Founders...and those that don't.
Not much use, attempting to defeat brain-washing. The enemy has limitless resources and avenues of dissemination of their message.
