I'm starting to see more and more companies are taking BO's on 22lr and I'm hoping they can deliver soon. Some good prices if you look[:D][:p][^]

    Ok im looking at getting a 22 lr auto
    iv been looking at the ruger 1022 ss target with the bull bbl. for about 366.00
    anyone know of another ss 22 auto for 400 or under
    this is going to be a plinking and hunting rifle but I want it to be
    a good tack driver also.

    my LGS is raffling 10,000 rounds of 22lr...... 110 10.00 each tickets limit 5 tickets per person..i got my limit..of course my bro bought 5 also...should have drawing this week...i told him i would take 50 [}:)]when i found out so thats why the limit when he found out i was serious...heck i probably wouldnt win with 50 chances

    If you look at the auction side there is no shortage of 22 lr and as long as they can get people to pay the high prices it won't come down. We are our own Problem and how all these companies get the 22s is the question when nobody else can get some[xx(][V]

    Marlin model 60 is a very accurate rifle at a very reasonable price.

    You could buy at least 4 Marlin 60s for $400 if you look in the right places.

    got a marlin 60 im wanting something that looks good but shoots just as good as it looks and i want it to be a auto.

    Don't know about the buckmark but I've got a 597 that will group pretty well. Clean it every few hundred rounds and it won't jam either.

    at the gun show in Puyallup there is a dealer who sells all used .22's for big discounts off-saw a man walk out with 2 Marlin Model 60's and he paid $100 for both of them lol.

    I hear people extolling the virtues of Marlin 60's all the time.

    I have no experience with the 60 in the last 15-20 years..because of the hideous experiences with them in the old days.

    The trigger mechanism is a nightmare..hairpin springs abound like Medusas hairstyle..and the feeding rails are a joke.
    At one time, I had 50 of them in the parts bin..all needing parts for the feeding and trigger mechanism.
    Found a sucker, traded the parts off..and vowed to have no more to do with the m-60.
    The Ruger will work for the rest of your life.and you can give it to your son.

    They must of completely redesigned the Marlin..because it damn sure was junk in the old days.

    i love my remington 597. if you catch the right sale and rebate you can get a really good deal. i got mine this past summer for around $120 with scope from dunham's. the downside is there aren't as many aftermarket parts for it as there are for the 1022. in my experience it's just as accurate though. i upgraded my hammer and extractor to volquartsen pretty cheaply. and the hammer gave it a nice trigger pull.

    This guy thinks too much of it, but good ones can be found under well under 400.

    I just bought a Stainless Marlin 60 with a composite sock online for $169 shipped. I have shot Rem Gold benched at my 64 yard target and have 5 shots at 7/8" group. I got that group by setting the low point of the buttstock hard on the bench, and then squeezed the front bag for elevation.

    Several old Mossbergs are online for about $160-250 that will provide accurate shooting and classic 1950's quality wood stocks.
