The difference between young and old
A C-130 was lumbering along when a cocky F-16 flashed by.
The jet jockey decided to show off.
The fighter jock told the C-130 pilot, "watch this!", and promptly went into a barrel roll followed by a steep climb.
He then finished with a sonic boom as he broke the sound barrier.
The F-16 pilot asked the C-130 pilot what he thought of that.
The C-130 pilot said, "That was impressive, but watch this!"
The C-130 droned along for about 5 minutes and then the C-130 pilot came back on and said
"What did you think of that?"
Puzzled, the F-16 pilot asked, "What the hell did you do?"
The C-130 pilot chuckled. "I stood up, stretched my legs, went to the back, used the bathroom, then got a cup of coffee and a cinnamon bun."
When you are young and foolish - speed and flashy may be a good thing.
When you get older and smarter -- comfort and dull is not such a bad thing!
AMEN?

Veterans outnumber anyone else in our (Very) small office.
We all got a huge charge outta this.
Thanks.0 -
That's why I ride a cruiser instead of a "crotch rocket". After riding a comfortable 200 miles, my back is fine. I wouldn't be able to stand up straight after riding one of those things. Besides, I enjoy looking at the scenery and I'm in no hurry to kill myself.

that is why I ride a beemer, after a comfortable 800 miles I can get off and get dinner uncrippled. Harleys leave me buzzing for hours. 0 -
Two bulls standing on a hill. The young bull says "Lets run do the hill and have ourselves a couple of heifers."
The old bull says "Lets walk down the hill and have them all."
Some think agressive equals urgency, but there is something to be said about being a bit more reserved.0 -

Me, too. Mine's a Kawasaki Nomad but I had a BMW once, too. Sweet ride. I rode it from Upstate NY to Dallas, Texas and enjoyed every mile of it.0 -
One of my better ones was from NM to Buffalo, down to Knoxville, Memphis, Fort Smith, OK City and home. Also went to the Black Hills via St. Louis once. Now the Black Hills are a fine, fine place to ride. 0 -
You guys are funny, I especially like the bulls story, heard it years ago and forgot it. I don't believe there are too many on the GB forum that care much for the crotch rockets. Most of us are closer to the category of old guys (not dead, just closer to it than birth) and the smooooooooooooth riding is always better. Keep the greasy side down guys and enjoy the view...... 0
