Bill Clinton is supposed to be here ???. (Update)
in our corner of East Texas tomorrow according to the local news. [xx(] I'm trying to think of something witty, constructive, and nonpoofable to say, but nothing's coming to mind. Thank goodness we have to go to Greenville tomorrow morning; sure hope he has been in and out come and arrived and departed before we return home tomorrow afternoon; don't mess with Texas!
On the bright side, bad weather is supposed to arrive here tomorrow coinciding with his visit, couldn't happen to a nicer guy! [8D]
UPDATE
Well, Bill was here yesterday at the local Junior College and since he was delayed along his route he was still speaking at the JC when we returned home from Greenville. My wife and I just couldn't seem to generate the enthusiasm to go see him. [xx(]
Perhaps ironic or somewhat Freudian, but diagonally across the street from the JC is a fast food place called Wienerland. Somewhat fitting I thought! [:D]

A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier.
Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel schedules. So, the husband left Minnesota and flew to Florida on Thursday, with his wife flying down the following day.
The husband checked into the hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an email to his wife. However, he accidentally left out one letter in her email address, and without realizing his error, sent the email.
Meanwhile, somewhere in Houston , a widow had just returned home from her husband's funeral. He was a minister who was called home to glory following a heart attack. The widow decided to check her email expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message, she screamed and fainted. The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen which read:
To: My Loving Wife
Subject: I've Arrived
Date: October 16, 2005
I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now and you are allowed to send emails to your loved ones. I've just arrived and have been checked in. I've seen that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow.
Looking forward to seeing you then!!!!

I made it through Lone Oak, both directions, without a moving violation. However, at one point in Greenville I thought I was toast, but the officer was stopping another car on Stonewall. How ironic it would have been if nunn stopped me for speeding after I promised him I wouldn't! [:0] 0 -
You know our local news around here Old colts and I have always preferred the local ABC affiliate (ch7) but their coverage of wild bill being in the area was just about to make me throw up in my own mouth. In fact, I plan to let them know I don't appreciate their use of the news on Thursday night. After 18-20 people are shot in another college massacre scene, they run about the first 5 minutes of the news on where bill's going to be the next day???/ Now on average, how many viewers do you think gave a big rats booty about where LIAR LIAR was going to be on Friday. Yea, I know, there was sizable crowds out to see him but not everyone was cheering and applauding, some were just there to see a celebrity spectacle, no matter who it was...... they would also attend a goat roasting..... 0 -
Yes, I agree, we caught a little bit of Channel 7's coverage and they were quite exuberant about old Bill! [xx(]
On the bright side it reminded us about Wienerland, so we picked up some Chili Cheese Dogs last night for supper![:p]0 -

My first house in east Texas was in a nicer neighborhood (making nice 6 figure income then) and there was a vacant lot across from mine, these were 1-2 acre lots; I was talking to the guy who owned it and discovered that Bill Clinton's mother was the previous owner of that lot....when she died, her latest husband sold it for peanuts and I missed it. Don't ask me how she got mixed up in land deals in Texas but more than one person attested to the fact that she owned this lot. Just think, Bill could have inherited that lot and I could have had wild willy for a neighbor......... NOT, talk about there goes the neighborhood....0
