ETrade or other....
Looking to pick an online trading company, and was wondering what other people have to say about their choice/experience with the online market. Going to start out with the minimum cash required until I get used to a program. Basically I just want to dabble in it for a little while, then hit it. I have the time to monitor an account almost constantly, as I work from home anyway. Looking for a user friendly, low cost site. I have read home/info pages for several different sites, but want some feedback from actuall users.

..I've used Scottrade for 2-3 years. It's fast, easy, and trades are $7, except for penny stocks. On those, it's a percentage. I don't have any complaints about them. 0 -
I've had Ameritrade for about 4 years and have no complaints. $9.99 per trade. I like their web page, resources and easy to use.
Before that I had Charles Schwab. They were pricey and hungry during the tech boom of the late 1990's, so I said "bye-bye" to them.
Good Luck, these are roller coaster days in the market.0 -
Scottrade is by far the best and easiest to use. I love them. 0 -
$500.00 to open the account.
$7.00 trades.
Scottrade has NO "Inactive Account or Account Maintenance Fees"
Check the others. [;)]
Stay away from "margin" accounts.0 -
Im interested in this too. In a nutshell how do these sites work ? 0 -
I use td ameritrade, but Scottstrade may be better for a small account starting up. I feel those are the best two. 0
