Are airports safe?
I rarely fly but we recently took a family trip that required us to do so. I'ts been about 7 years since I last flew and I noticed the airports are even more crowded than the last time I flew. In all honesty while in the various airports, dispite their so called security measures I felt less secure than if I were standing on Kodiak Island surrounded by bears and with a salmon in my hand. If a terrorist really wanted to kill a bunch of people it wouldn't be hard. Since increased security results in everything slowing down the people were crammed in like sardines. A simple suit case bomb(or two)could easily kill or injure 1000's of people waiting in line before they even get to security check points. Even a well armed shooter could do heavy damage before he was even confronted by security personel meanwhile we are left helpless like sheep to the slaughter, no ways to defend ourselves.

Airports are probably a lot safer that colleges, malls, and hospitals right now. Are they safe? No, nothing is completely safe and it galls me not to be able to carry my own weapon.

Your major problem with airports at this time is getting a foot fungus when you have to take off your shoes to go through screening. When we flew out of San Diego after Christmas they were providing little paper slip on booties to wear through the line and they turned out to be a royal pain and a real joke! 0 -
yes, its a worry, and i agree, with people lined up, one bomb would kill a lot of people...it would be very easy to get a bomb right up to the security check points, i just dont know what anyone can do about it though...i suppose just keep a look out for anyone looking real nervous or scared and keep well away and maybe tell a security guard of your suspicions? 0
