Well, you guys, the money was safely delivered to me and I went out and got some stuff with it...

This is a bayonet and sheath for my Enfield Jungle Carbine. They are fairly hard to find because the ring that goes over the flash hider is about twice the diameter of an Enfield Rifle Bayonet and they didn't make all that many.

Thank you so much you guys. This is one of the neatest things that's ever happened to me.

    Yeah, my Father-in-Law(best Friend) gave me the Jungle Carbine the last time I went to LaLa land. A very fine man. I haven't spoken with him since the divorce proceedings started.

    Got the bayonet from a friend of Garry-the-Brit, my Son-in-Law. The guy has a few, and I got to pick the nicest.

    How neat !!

    nice jungle carbine doug! used to be extremely common here once but i hav`nt seen any for a few yearsi know in 2001 they were $300 aust. with the bayonett.pig shooters loved `em. but 303 ammo got too expensive when the ex mill. stuff dried up, ammo is a lot dearer here than in the U.S...you seem to be paying now what we paid 10 years ago.

    Still a lot of ex-mil ammo around.

    You don't really plink with the Jungle Carbine, 'cause the stock shape really punishes your(my) shoulder.

    The weapon is really a nice handler, well balanced, comes up to your shoulder nicely.

    yep, a truly beautiful piece of history...3 of my uncles carried them in new guinea in ww2...i hav`nt heard of any ex mill. 303 ammo anywhere in australia for a long time now...it used to be cheaper then .22 ammo once upon a time here...i bought 500 rounds of .22 winchester subsonic ammo today, it cost me $58 aust. ...the aust. $ is worth about 88.5 u.s. cents today....as i said, ammo is expensive here. when i qualify for my pistol licence and get centerfire ones i`ll buy a reloader...i just wish it was as easy to get handguns here as it is in the u.s....i look at `em on gunbroker every day and drool...i have the money to buy them, but i`m not allowed to...very frustrating for me!..anyway, hope you keep on enjoying your jungle carbine doug...a nice piece of shooting history.it`s strange with recoil, if i hit what i aim at i dont notice it..[:)]i only notice when i miss..[B)]..good night doug...
