I'm currently getting wind gusts of 50-60 mph. Out west of here these are feeding wildfires that have consumed over 300 acres and 14 homes so far.
A little while ago I was sitting inside the house minding my own business and heard a very loud crash. I went out and found that I now have the top 60+ ft. of a Sycamore lying in my yard, but nothing else damaged.

If the fires are burning multimillionaire's homes on multimillion dollar property they don't matter. [sarcasm]

Naturally we have high winds down here too. I've been watching the pines on the North side of our property with some concern! Pines usually snap, so if one does it probably won't have enough length to hit the house. We've had the lights flicker a couple of times, but so far power has remained on!0 -

its a bad sign if you are getting bush fires in winter!..who ever owns the land should have burnt it off when it was safe to burn....and that includes government controlled land!..good luck to you, especially in summer. 0
