So did anyone buy some gold back when...

Remember last year when we all discussed gold? It was in the $620.00 range. $912.00 this A.M. world market. We will see $1000.00 per ounce gold this year.

    i used to go prospecting before my neck got hurt..use to get a nice bit each year...and no tax on gold when you sell it here either...wish my neck wer`nt sore now, i could do with 10 or 14 grand!

    I bought an American Eagle, a Buffalo, and a 1924 St. Gaudens $20 Double eagle. I was a little afraid of buying them at that price, but am glad I did now. Just have to figure out when to sell!!

    I bought some back when it was $289.00 an ounce. I am uncetain whether to sell it or not.

    $338 in ... 2004 or 2005? I made three rings, and kept the rest.
    There is no real urgency to sell it, but who knows?

    I have some but did not buy it recently. I sold some at $700 an ounce, and some at $385 an ounce (ow).... I'll sell some at $1000 an ounce but sit on the rest (I have about 10 oz)

    I bought some a few years back and boy am I glad I did!

    If I were a mean sort of person, I'd be laughing at all of those folks who dismissed investing in gold as a flash in the pan phenomenon.

    the day my son was born i went and bought me and the wife matching necklaces mine has a 25 dollar gold piece hers has a 10 dollar gold piece with diamond cut rope bezels and solid rope necklaces, mine weighs 55 grams with the coin, not sure what hers weighs, but i gave 700 for both

    {yes i know the necklace, and bezel are only 24k}

    I was given a significant quantity when I was born. It's in a safe deposit box. I'm not even sure exactly what size (they are about the size of a domino) but there are about 25.

    Hay Dan, i'd be happy to fly over for a few months of ballz-to-the-wall prospecting! Do you do "Hi-Banking, dry-wash,dredge,or what?

    hey there fish...shhh!..i use a pan to find a nice little patch, then i use a suction dredge,but thats illegal here..only the big boys can use things that harm the environment [}:)]
    i miss going..i have to see the surgeon in about a week, so hopefully i will have my operation within a month,then when i recover...watch out gold...here i come![:p][:p]

    You could blindfold me if ya want.lol I promice i'd never give-up your claim location.
    Ya allways start out with the pan, to find some good hi-grade. Then after you run the 2" dredge for a wile you clean the miners moss or whatever your using and BACK IN THE PAN IT GOES... funny how it all starts and ends with the ol'pan![;)]
    I got strong back and have been in the "SHOVELING/Moving dirt bizz for a loooong time. Be nice to visit Australia and maybe make a buck in the deal.
    I actually have an ol friend up Queensland/Bondi way. Be nice to see her again too...[;)]

    fish,i`m not capable of using the pan,shovel or my little dredge with my neck at the moment. when my necks operated on and if it fixes me i`ll be going and looking again [}:)] it costs $12 for a fossicking licence here in my state, and as i said, theres no tax payable to the government on gold when you find it..it`s yours to do with as you want.
    if you want to come here i can show you the creeks to go looking in,but i can`t help you mine just now.the gold in the creeks here assays out to 22 to 22 1/2 carrat so its fairly pure. in my state its alluvial and reef gold...not many nuggets like there is in victoria,queensland and especially west australia.
