White Pride????????
Yesterday in the local parking lot I parked beside a pickup truck. On the side it had a sticker "White Pride" it said. That's nice, since I have seen "Indian Pride" and "Black Pride". I then looked closer and the guy also had Nazi runes and Swastica stickers on the windows. It turned me right off. How could this idiot admire the nazis?

There's nothing wrong with being proud of one's heritage.
As long as it isn't at the expense of someone else's.
Unfortunately, some who espouse "White Pride" do so by belittling other races.

I think most White people tend to be proud of their nationality more than their race. Many (certainly not most) minorities want to distance themselves from patriotism, it seems, and seek some other basis for "pride." Like race. 0 -

Ya know,...I don't see a problem with "white pride" or whatever if the same people who trumpet this belief weren't also a nazi lover. I am glad to be white. I believe that my life would have been very different, probably worse, had I been born black. Still, I was stuck with what I was born with, just as the black folk are.

I really can't claim "pride" in either, since neither is anything for which I can claim credit.
I am glad to be a Texan. I have visited many other states, and I am glad to be from here. I reckon I can claim some "pride" here, because I could choose to live in another state, but I choose to remain in Texas.
Rather than pride, I have intense gratitude for the conditions of my birth, to God and to the men who came before me and sacrificed their lives, property and freedom to lay the foundation for the future. Rather than pride, I have a sense of humility, because I know that there is nothing I can do to repay or be worthy of the blessings I have received. All I can do is the best I can and hope it is enough.
Remember the scene near the end of "Saving Private Ryan?" Many years after the war, Ryan is at the cemetery, visiting the grave of the captain who saved him, the one who told him, "Earn this." Ryan asked himself and his wife standing beside him, "Have I lived a good life? Am I a good man? Did I earn it?"
When I think of the many before me who have sacrificed much to give ME a free country, I have to ask myself the same thing.0 -

one time I was talking with a nazi admirer. he was white; he wasn't a skinhead, but he was most certainly racist. he was an evil little sob.
at one point we were talking about immigrants, specifically mexicans. he was complaining that they come over here to live but they want to remain "mexican", they don't even learn to speak english. he was asking "why???" I shrugged and said I don't know but they must have their reasons.
later we were talking about nazis. I said I don't understand the blind hate towards other races. I went over some of the horrible (yes, horrible) things they did, and my point was how could the nazis that were ordered to do that stuff, how could they do it? they participated in it, they did the work, and you don't hear much if anything about how any of them refused to do these unspeakable things. so they must have been quite willing and just as evil, all of them. I didn't understand why they would want to do that stuff. "why???" I asked.

Taking pride in something you have no sway over, no say in, no effort made, is rediculous. What control or influence did anyone have as to their skin color,(except Michael Jackson).
If you want to express pride, do it for an accomplishment, not a feat of nature.

you can find yourself in a situation that you just got plopped right into, and find that you're proud of it and proud to be a part of it. nothing wrong with that.

I have no problem with people being proud of their race. I am very proud of being white and see no problem in subtly showing it. I just don't see the point of putting other races down seeing as it's a waste of time. 0 -
