Cooking up a big pot of potato soup complete with bacon and onions and lots of good flavor. What do you put in your potato soup?

For me i'm having some homemade fried rice.

Very very simple recipe that I have made from many seperate recipes.

I am a very picky eater so add whatever else you like in fried rice.

Cook 1&1/2 cups white rice in 4 cups water. Then put it in the fridge until cold. This is very important.

Cut 1-lb of your choice of meats, pork, keilbasa, steak etc. into small pieces and cook until done.

Cook 6 eggs scrambled. I normally remove three of the yolks.

Combine the rice, meat and eggs. Add 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger, 3 tablespoons lemon juice and 4 tablespoons soy sauce.

Heat again and mix all ingredients.

    That's it.

If anyone tries it, tell me how you like it. Thanks

Takes a little time, dan. Bone a chicken, lightly brown everything but the really dark meat (feed that to the cat), cover with about three quarts of water and boil to reduce the liquid by a third. Season the broth with one large bay leaf, thyme 1/2 t, salt and pepper.

Cube about four cups of spuds, (1/2 inch more or less) and two cups of carrots chopped to match the spuds. Dump them into the broth and boil about 10 minutes. Put your readymade biscuits on top and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes, then cover and simmer for another 10. Chicken&dumplings.

You can speed it up if you buy two BIG chicken breasts, use two quarts of canned chicken broth, and use a premixed biscuit product (I like to use Bisquik but some folks object to the texture)

    Damned fine eating.

    Clouder..
