.22 mag ammo

i posted this on the "experts" forum and didnt get much response i was wondering if i could get a little more feedback here. i love to hog hunt using my ruger m77 .22 mag. i am still a little undecided on what ammo is good to use. the far range i shoot is about 100yds tops. i've tried various types of ammo and all seem to shoot fine through ( done federal 30 grain to all the cci to winchester to remington premiere) the gun. i am not enough of a marksman and i dont have a long enough range to tell if some brands of ammo are inconsistent or dont hold a consistent point of impact. and it is hard to tell what kind of damage and energy some have. so let me know what you guys have had success with. currently thinking cci hollow maxi-mags.. but still undecided.

    Anyone else notice a difference in the winchester dynapoint 45grn ammo? They used to shoot fine in my AMT but now they won't cycle the action. Just too weak. Bought three boxes (two from a gunshow and one from walmart)and they all act the same just work the slide enough to cock the hammer but not eject the empty. Every other brand and weight that I have tried work flawlessy.

    You'd think that with a 45 gr. bullet; they'd be powerful enough to cycle your AMTII. The PMC Predator rounds do the same thing in my AMTII; I've since kept to the hp/fmj's in the white Win. box.

    They don't cycle my AMT either! what does just about 100% is WW super x, maxi- mag 40gr HP and CCI + V. I really like the +v, 1600fps and the best groups of all brands tried. That nickle case is sliker than brass and it doesn't corode. Haven't tried any of the exotic new stuff - have you?

    The Dynapoint is a reduced power load, I believe that the velocity is a few hundred feet per second slower than standard 22 mag ammo.

    My houston made AMT doesn't like the Winchester stuff. PMC either for that matter. Pretty good luck with federal, and remington. The only thing it really likes so far id CCI stuff. Will have to try some of the +v stuff, but so far haven't had any luck with anything under 40 grains
